The purpose of this seminar is to promote conversations about race and relationships within the workplace. To do this we will explore some modern concepts use in thinking on issues of race and oppression. These include:
- Privilege and Power
- Unconscious Bias
- Racial Trauma
- Echo chambers
The goal in these conversations is not to promote feelings of guilt but to actively help us think more deliberately about our interactions with others. The concepts and conversations raised in this setting are transferrable across areas of differences in society where people experience oppression/discrimination.
