Sword Sisters Leadership

Dr Tamara Russell is a martial artist, neuroscientist and clinical psychologist. She combines these disciplines in her innovative well-being work with the tag line “Two PhDs and a blackbelt”. Her “more than mindfulness” experiences blend body, mind and heart work and offer practical solutions for those who want to explore change in an embodied and integral way. This integrated approach is designed with the brain in mind for busy changemakers and heart warriors.

The Sword Sisters initiative is aimed at women in senior leadership. It’s core intention is to support women as they connect to their innate, intuitive and incredible feminine power.

For senior decision makers, it builds confidence and courage to tackle the conversations and strategic decisions that are needed to support future business planning to include purpose, people and planet, as well as profit as their outcome.

Going directly to the heart of the work, the sword trains body, mind, heart and soul. This totally unique program will challenge you in unexpected ways, reaching parts of body and mind that are untapped potential. Mindfulness training, body awareness, deep core and internal organ work make this a totally different type of mental and physical training experience. No sword experience necessary, you will be guided and supported as you meet your sword.

Benefits include:

  • Emotional and mental awareness
  • Attention, focus and clarity
  • Increasing depth of body awareness and sensing
  • Capacity to tune into subtle energies and intentions
  • Mindfulness in motion training
  • Learning how to use your brain as well as your heart in your decision making
  • Refining your relationship to true feminine power.

This course is offered in small groups or 121 training. Session duration and length can be tailored to suit your needs. Typically, it is offered over 8 weeks with teaching and instruction sessions augmented by practice sessions.

“The most surprising thing was how natural it felt to play with the sword. The other thing was the meditation with the heart and connecting with the heart – it has been a real revelation for me. This practice has really made me feel like I am really nurturing myself and caring for myself in ways that I have never done before. I want to continue. It has been an amazing journey.” – VERA

“I didn’t have much prior knowledge or expectation, but I really loved the succinct different parts of the week. I loved that we built on the practice but also the mindfulness element. The connection between body and mind I really enjoyed was a surprise. It’s really sparked my interest to continue it. I’m focused on the fact that I don’t want it to be just something I did over a fixed period of time, but I’d like to learn more about it and how to bring it into my life in a more regular way.” – HELENA

“In observing the grace of everyone involved, it’s been an extraordinary time and an extraordinary coming together. There’s a part of me that really wanted to get hold of the f****** sword and slash it around. Everyone just wants to make it more a part of their lives and support one another to keep going, as everyone wants to find a way to make it part of their lives.” – LUCIA
